Dear Fred,
Sorry I wasn't really paying attention to this page. Saw it eventually though, and perhaps you'll read my reply next year or so ;).

I think the solar shower was never working during my stays in Nangi, unfortunately. Might have been though, as I would have used the sauna instead anyway at the times *that* worked! The thing I've missed the most is an electric drill, and unfortunately I forget what else. 220V if I recall correctly.

Take care and namaste!

hi,

i have a used, but fully functional laptop with following specifications:

amd processor 1.8Ghz; 1.5gig RAM, 60GB HD, 15.4 display, ATI RADEON 256mb graphics, win xp, dvd rw...and so on

it is not a great laptop but since i bought a new one for me, i don't need it and would like to donate it to your foundation. i hope that you'll be able to make a good use out of it.

please provide me with your shipping address where you can get it without any hassles. i will pay the shipping charges, but you might have to pay the import tax on it (about 1500 NRS i assume). please let me know what you think.

thanks

Hi Debra. Interesting to read of your infant and child resuscitation courses. We've just returned from Nepal where we met with Mahabir in Kathmandu (having first met him in Nangi in '98). We had taken from Australia 4 cartons of donated medical supplies - mostly resuscitation equipment including two recycled oxygen rescucitators with soda lime CO2 removal plus a number of manual resuscitators. Also a range of other dental and medical equipment. Realising much of it could be too sophisticated and exceed the needs of Paudwar village where we were headed, we left it all in the care of the Rotary Club of Pokhara Annapurna to identify where in Nepal such equipment could best be used. They seemed to have good contacts to address the question, and we are currently awaiting their advice. We found the healhcare centre in Paudwar to be pretty basic, but have hopes for assisting its improvement in the years to come, working with Krishna Pun (Village Development Coordinator).
